Obituary Christian Javier Garcia, 20, of Morehead City, died Monday, April 7, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 14, at St. Egbert Catholic Church with The Rev. Thomas R. Davis officiating. He was born in Rota, Spain on December 8, 1993 to Carlos and Edna Rodas Garcia. Christian was a 2012 graduate of West Carteret High School and was recently accepted to join the United States Air Force. He is survived by his parents, Carlos Rafael Garcia and Edna Rodas Garcia of Morehead City; sister, Ana Nicole Garcia of Morehead City; maternal grandmother, Edna Abascal of Guatemala; paternal grandparents, Carlos R. Garcia and Luz Garcia of Los Angeles, CA. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gilberto Rodas. The family will receive friends at St. Egbert Catholic Church on Saturday from 12 Noon 2:00 p.m., with a Christian Wake Service at 1:00 p.m. Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to St. Egbert Catholic School, 1705 Evans Street, Morehead City, NC 28557 or Hope Mission of Carteret County, P.
