Constance Browne

Obituary Constance M. Browne, 103, of Morehead City, formerly of Pine Knoll Shores, died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 6, 2014. Mrs. Browne was born in Pomona, CA, where she met her husband-to-be, Arthur E. Browne, to whom she was married for over 71 years. She graduated from Pomona College in Claremont, CA. She and Arthur resided in Alexandria, VA, prior to retiring to Pine Knoll Shores. While a resident of Pine Knoll Shores, she was a member of the Garden Club, the Womens Club, and a member and supporter of the Country Club of the Crystal Coast. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Unitarian Coastal Fellowship, Morehead City, with the Rev. Sally White officiating. She is survived by two sons, Douglas Browne of Pine Knoll Shores and Malcolm Browne of Brielle, NJ; two granddaughters, Kristan Browne and Kimberly Browne; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Browne is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings.
