Obituary Louise Guthrie Thomas, 90, of Beaufort, died Thursday, April 03, 2014, at Crystal Bluffs Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Morehead City. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Ann Street United Methodist Church with The Rev. David C. Wade officiating. The interment will be held at Ocean View Cemetery. She was born in Beaufort on December 23, 1923 to Linwood and Alma Truitt Guthrie. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Ann Street United Methodist Church where she was additionally a member of the Wesleyan Circle. She was employed by First Citizens Bank for 20 years and was a member of several Bridge clubs. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Thomas Brake and husband, Sam, of Beaufort; son, Ralph L. Thomas, Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Beaufort; grandchildren, Ralph L. Thomas, III of Beaufort, Virginia P. Thomas Shreve and husband, William, of Wilson, Dr. Mary Catherine Brake Turner and husband, Carl, of Greenville, NC, and Joanna Brake Ragon and husband, Rob, of Virginia Beach, VA; great-grandchildren, Mason Thomas, Maddie Thomas, and Tucker Ragon. In addition to her parents, her husband, Ralph L. Thomas, Sr., and brother, Ernest Guthrie, preceded her in death. The family will receive friends at Ann Street United Methodist Church Eure Building following the service.
