Obituary Mary Ellen Norcom Smith of Atlantic Beach A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, at Salter Path United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Bratton officiating. The interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park. Born February 16, 1934 to George and Bessie Norcom of Beaufort, NC. She married the late Billy Wayne Smith and together they had three daughters. She was known to many as Nana, Mer or just Queen. She always had an open door that met you with a bright smile. With a loving heart to all who ever met her, she became on of Gods precious angels on Friday morning, May 9, 2014, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy W. Smith, parents, George and Bessie Norcom, and sister Evelyn Pfeifer. She is survived by her three daughters, Pamela Kelly and husband, Bert Kelly, of Beaufort, Cathy Smith and companion, James Llewellyn, of Atlantic Beach, Beverly Harrell and husband, Ray Harrell, Jr. of Atlantic Beach; sisters, Florence Anderson of Morehead City, Joyce Tolson of Morehead City, Jean Bigelow of Erie, PA, and twin, Ann Smith and husband, Ralph Smith, of Salter Path; grandchildren, Tony Pavone, Stephanie Merritt and husband, Ryan Merritt, Renea Bell and husband, Alex Bell, Courtney Giblin, Ryan Giblin, Billie Katheryn Giblin, Kameron Giblin, Brittany Harrell, Tripp Harrell, Brady Tosto, and Evan Tosto; great-grandchildren, Tyler Bell, Olivia Bell, Barrett Henry, Rylee Henry, Coen Giblin, Jacob Pavone, Ellie Pavone, Morgan Mason, and Andrew Mason; sister-in-law, Jean Willis of Pine Knoll Shores, sister and brother-in-law, Preston and Anita Murdoch of Carrollton, VA.
