Obituary Mildred Dixon Dunn, 88, of Beaufort, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Ocean View Cemetery with Rev. Richard Patterson officiating. Mildred was born on December 13, 1929, in Carteret County to John Bryant and Lettie Dudley Dixon. She worked for many years as a designer at K. D.s Florist. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She is survived by her son, Talbert Dunn, Jr. of Hampton, VA; sister, Helen Dixon Vanetten, of Beaufort; 6 grandchildren, Robert Dunn, Jr., Bryan Dunn, Shawn Dunn, Holly Dunn, Jason Dunn and Talbert Dunn, III; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dunn is preceded in death by her husband, Talbert C. Dunn, a son, Robert Dunn, Sr., two brothers, Donald G. Dixon and John "Bud" Dixon and a sister, Joyce D. Newton. Our Nannie has gone to heaven.
