Obituary Richard John Rosati, 74, of Newport, NC, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at his home. Richard was born on September 10, 1946 to John and Edith Rosati in Glens Falls NY. He graduated from Hudson Falls Central High School. Richard retired from UPS in a management role. Richard enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. He was on The Hudson Falls Tigers Football team, and went on to play for the Hudson Falls Greenjackets. He was a tough competitor and led the team to many victories. Richard was a charter member of the Greenjackets Hall of Fame and was inducted into the American Football Association/-Player Category Hall of Fame. He was heavily involved in the creation of the Empire Football League. He is survived by his partner, Deborah Fitzgerald; four children, Paul Rosati, Hope Rosati Frettoloso and husband Paul, Richard "Skip" Rosati and wife Jacqueline, and Manda Lin Rosati; grandchildren, Krystal Middleton and husband Jake, Aaron Rosati, Emily Simmons and husband Robert; great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Norah Middleton, River, Joleen and Evelyn Simmons; two sisters, Carolyn Rosati Clary and husband Thomas, and Linda Rosati. niece, Jonete Clary; nephew, Tod Clary; grand niece, Mia Clary; and several cousins. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, John Earl, son of Linda Rosati. Per Richard's request, no memorial service is planned at this time.
