Obituary Russell Stout, Jr., 84, of Emerald Isle, formerly of Washington D.C. passed on January 12th 2017 at Carteret HealthCare Morehead City, North Carolina. Born on June 6th 1932 to Russell and Frances Stout (deceased), Russell lived in New York until joining the Air Force. He spent 20 years with the Air Force, traveling across the globe. Upon his retirement, he embarked on a fulfilling academic career, earning a Doctorate in Organization Theory from UC Berkley. Russell was a professor at both Indiana University and The American University in Washington D.C., publishing two books on Organizational Theory. After ending his career in academia, Russell became an International Development Assistance Advisor until his retirement in 2002. Throughout his careers, Russell worked and lived in many countries of the world, including Scotland, France, Pakistan, Japan, Peru, Bolivia, and Guatemala. He was a voracious reader, a lover of art, music and literature. Above all, Russell cherished his family, beaming with pride whenever we gathered together. He is survived by his loving wife Isabel, his four sons Russell (and wife Carol), Mario (and wife Patricia), Jose (and wife Vanessa), and Martin, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Frances Bavoso, John Stout (and wife Gerry), Jimmy Stout (and wife Phyllis), Timmy Stout (and wife Suzanne), Janet Duncan (and husband Tom) and their families. Condolences may be addressed to the family in Emerald Isle. A graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, March 20th 2017 at 11am. Those attending are asked to arrive no later than 10:15am.
