Growing up in Carteret County provided Bill the opportunity to enjoy boating, spending time on the beach with his family and taking long walks with his wife at sunset. Most significantly, Bill and Judy rented a sailboat each summer and with Bill as "Captain", they would island hop throughout the British Virgin Islands, where cherished memories were made that will sustain Judy throughout her life.
