Obituary Aileen Pearson Baker. age 88, of Emerald Isle died July 26, 2018 at Carteret Health Care. The family will be holding private services at a later date. Aileen was born on May 14, 1930 in Kinston, NC to Edward John and Lula Bell Pearson. She married Carl H. Baker and was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter Susan Aileen Baker Stroud and husband Allen of Kinston; her son, Carl H. Baker, Jr. and his wife Lois Sutton Baker of Emerald Isle; a sister, Mary Mercer Pearson of High Point; four grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Baker, Carl Matthew "Matt" Baker, Megan Stroud Garner and Brian Allen Stroud; and two great grandchildren, Lily Garner and Taylen Medley. Aileen was preceded in death by her husband Carl Baker, her sister, Marion Pearson Johnson; and by a grandson, James Edward Baker.
