Ann Armstrong

September 9, 1957 — September 9, 2025

Morehead City

Ann Robie Armstrong, 68, of Atlantic Beach passed away peacefully on her birthday, September 9, 2025, at Carteret Landing Memory Care.

Ann was born September 9, 1957, to Victor and June Armstrong at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Ann graduated from Radford University with a BS in Education. She taught school in Virginia and then at White Oak Elementary School in Carteret County, North Carolina. Ann was co-owner of Teacher’s Pet in Morehead City for over 30 years.

Ann loved the ocean, especially Atlantic Beach. Spending a day at the beach, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the ocean breeze made her smile. She was always hoping to see a school of dolphins! Ann was compassionate about animals and sea life. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs and walking them on the beach. Ann loved listening to Bruce Springsteen and beach music. She was always surrounded with family and friends. She is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Ann is survived by her sister, Karen Armstrong Millikan and husband BJ, of Charlotte; two nieces Megan Ann Goold of Morehead City, Ashley Goold Edwards and husband Josh, of Charlotte, and Patrick Samuel Armstrong Goold and wife, Bentley, stationed in Germany; 4 great nieces, Hallie, Annabelle, Caroline, and Ginny; great nephew Liam; and caregiver and dear friend, Rosie Fisher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor A. Armstong, Major General USMC and mother, June Jansen Armstrong.

Ann’s family would like to thank the staff at Carteret Landing and Gentiva Hospice for their commitment, compassionate care, support, understanding, and kindness shown to Ann during her illness.

“Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.

Condolences and life tributes may be sent to the family at www.noebrooks.net.
