Bois Delaney Cox

Bois Delaney Cox, 69, of Newport, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Rainbow United Methodist Church Cemetery in Snow Hill, N.C.

Delaney worked as an electrician and was an avid UNC Tarheels fan.

He is survived by his son, Mathew Windham of Morehead City; brother, Myron Cox (Shirl) of Newport; father-in-law, Jim Lenhart of Morehead City; sister-in-law, Tammy Lenhart of Morehead City; and his three grandchildren, Cassidy, Heath, and David.

Delaney was preceded in death by his wife, Lorie Cox.
