Bradlee Edward Woodward

Bradlee Woodward, 73, of Kinston, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at N.C. State Veterans Home in Kinston.

Bradlee was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, and an active member of Cherry Point Baptist Church. Bradlee traveled the globe mapping the sea but always returned to North Carolina. He was "a Tarheel and waterman through and through".

Bradlee loved and trusted Jesus Christ for eternal salvation and is present with The Lord.

The people and programs of Cherry Point Baptist Church were important to Bradlee and they supported Bradlee with visits and cards. Bradlee always offered a “Love you” as a parting gift to any visit or phone call.

Bradlee continues to support Lenoir Community College through the Bradlee E. Woodward scholarship for welding.

Bradlee is survived by his sister, Linda Nunez (Ramon) of Wellington, FL; brother, Brian Woodward (Kim) of Roswell, GA: two nephews, Joshua Nunez and Kyle Woodward; a niece, Kerri Singer; his cousin, Wendy (Jarrod) Blacklock, Green Bay, WI. and his very close friends Mark and Penny Hooper, Shelley Stocks, Marion and Gwen Sykes and Pastor Steve Epperson all living in the North Carolina coastal plain. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leaman and Eileen Woodward.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Backpack Ministry of Cherry Point Baptist Church, 212 Church Rd., Havelock, NC 28532.

The family would like to thank the staff of N.C. State Veterans Home in Kinston, NC for their care; and a special thank you to all the caring orderlies and Ms. Dorothy, Ms. Shinell and VA Rep Steve Hoggard.
