Brenda Koczot-Snell

Brenda Koczot-Snell, 72, of Morehead City, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 19, 2026, surrounded by loved ones and compassionate caregivers. 

Her family will celebrate her life privately at a later date.

Brenda was born on September 14, 1953, to Walter and Lillian Hoffman. She was raised in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Stroudsburg High School. Affectionately known as “Bella,” she held various positions throughout her life, but her favorite role was serving as an intake specialist and records clerk for Nothstein Law Offices. She later retired from Walmart at the age of 62.

Bella had a kind and generous heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Some of her happiest memories were made at the shore, where she cherished the beach, admired lighthouses, and found peace in the serenity of the ocean. Brenda also enjoyed journaling, gardening, baking, and later in life, practicing the art of calligraphy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Jeffrey Snell; her parents; and her older brother, Steve Hoffman.

She is survived by her sons, Ryan and Brad Koczot; her cherished grandchildren, Jaden and Finnegan Koczot; her “adopted” sons, Chris Lettorale and Raymond Davis; and her sisters, Patricia and Suzanne Hoffman.
