Bruce Davis, 89, of Newport, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at her home.

Due to the inclement weather, service details have changed. The updated details are as follows:

A visitation will take place 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at First Methodist Church in Morehead City. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at First Methodist Church in Morehead City with Rev. Patrick Whaley officiating. The service will be live streamed at www.noebrooks.net.
Burial will take place at Bayview Cemetery.

Bruce was the owner and operator of New Image Hair Salon in Atlantic Beach.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Card and Barbara Carraway, both of Newport; son, Ben Ethier; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and a number of great great grandchildren.

Bruce was preceded in death by her husband, Ethan Stamey Davis III; son, William Roger Ethier; and her parents, Lolly Cecil and Sarah Alice Castello Williams.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
