Cassidy Brinkley

Cassidy Nicole Brinkley, 15, of Newport, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at ECU Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.

Cassidy had a deep love for animals and found joy in helping others. She cherished time spent at the beach, listening to music, and attending services at Glad Tidings Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Glad Tidings Church in Morehead City.

She is survived by her mother, Carrie Clay, and stepfather, Aaron Butt, of Newport; her father, Jonathan Brinkley, of Wilson; her two brothers, Liam and Sean Butt, of Newport; her aunt, Amanda Williams, of Wilson; her cousin, Jasmine Saucedo, of Durham; her uncle, Wesley Clay and family, of Gloucester; her aunt, Michelle Clark and family, of Cary; and her step-grandfather, Ryan Butt, of Beaufort.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Cynthia and Wayne Clay; her paternal grandparents, Thelton and Helen Brinkley; and her uncle, Michael Shane Parker.
