Celia Guzikowski

Celia Guzikowski, 99, of Morehead City, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House of Newport.

Celia was an active member of St. Egbert’s Catholic Church in Morehead City where she served as an usher for many years. She also enjoyed volunteering her time at Martha’s Mission and PAWS.

Her funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at St. Egbert Catholic Church in Morehead City. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen “Kit” McDaniels and husband, Bruce of Syracuse, NY; son, Carl Guzikowski of Aurora, CO; granddaughter, Megan McDaniels of Syracuse, NY; grandson, Brendan McDaniels and wife, Jennifer of Hilton, NY; grandson, Matthew Guzikowski of Aurora, CO; granddaughter, Christina Sharkey and husband, Pat of Philadelphia, PA; granddaughter, Erin Guzikowski of Philadelphia, PA; and six great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grzegorz and Cecilia Zacharek; husband, Carl Julius Guzikowski; sister, Jane Baniewicz; brother, Walter Zacharek; brother, Steven Zacharek; brother, Joseph Zacharek; sister, Josephine Demanyk; brother, Edward Zacharek.
