Charles Hunt

Charles Adam Hunt, 20, of Newport, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at his home.

Charles graduated from Croatan High School and went on to work in the construction industry.

Charles enjoyed playing sports, especially football. He also had a passion for video games and cherished time spent with his family, brothers and sisters, and friends. His presence brought energy and warmth to those around him.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Newport.

He is survived by his father, Charles Stanley Hunt Jr. of New Bern; brother, Isaac Lee Hunt; sister, Crickalle Nefertiti Hunt of Charlotte; sister, Sharlasia McGahee of Lake Placid, FL; brother, Sqwayy Hawthorne of Lake Placid, FL; mother, Nancy Nichole Wuyche of Lake Placid, FL; paternal grandmother, Susan Biley of Newport; paternal grandfather, Charles Hunt Sr. of Beaufort.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Maryann and Crickett Hawthorne.
