Charles Bradley Spencer

Charles Bradley Spencer, 90, of New Bern, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Pruitt Health Neuse in New Bern.

Charles was married to Elaine for 64 wonderful years and they built a beautiful life together. Charles had a passion for working with his hands and found great joy in being outdoors. His love for craftsmanship and adventure led him to build his own ultralight airplane, a remarkable achievement that reflected his dedication and skill. He was also a proud member of the New Bern Bears Flying Club, where he shared his enthusiasm for aviation with fellow members.

The family will celebrate his life with a private service in Guilford, CT.

He is survived by his two sons, Dennis Spencer and wife, Jean of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Steven Spencer and wife, Lauretta of St. Petersburg, FL; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Elaine Spencer; parents, Charles Spencer and Doris Gillo; two brothers, Norman and Kenneth Spencer; and grandson, Ryan Spencer.
