New Bern
Charles Bradley Spencer, 90, of New Bern, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Pruitt Health Neuse of New Bern.
Charles had a passion for working with his hands and found great joy in being outdoors. His love for craftsmanship and adventure led him to build his own ultralight airplane, a remarkable achievement that reflected his dedication and skill. He was also a proud member of the New Bern Bears Flying Club, where he shared his enthusiasm for aviation with fellow members.
The family will celebrate his life with a private service in Guilford, CT.
He is survived by his two sons, Dennis Spencer and wife, Jean of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Steven Spencer and wife, Lauretta of St. Petersburg, FL; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Spencer and Doris Gillo; two brothers, Norman and Kenneth Spencer; and grandson, Ryan Spencer.
