Daniel Brown

Daniel “Dan” Brown, 75 of Newport passed into his new life on Thursday August 13, 2026 at his home. 

A memorial service to honor Dan’s life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Oak Grove Methodist Church in Havelock, NC. Following the service the family would like to welcome friends to join them in fellowship for a meal. The service will be livestreamed on www.noebrooks.net

Dan spent his retirement living in his backyard. He loved gardening, creating habitat for the birds he loved to watch from his outdoor kitchen. He was curious, innovative and always building contraptions for the fun of making something work. He loved giving tours of his backyard to anyone, young and old, telling stories and teaching what he loved creating. He had that ability to make a connection with everyone he met. He will be sorely missed.
