David Franklin Stewart

David Franklin Stewart, 62, of Newport, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House of Newport.

David was a veteran having served in the US Air Force, he retired from the civil service at Cherry Point as a QA. He was a member of St. Andrew Luteran Church and was a member of the choir. He also sang with the Crystal Coast Choral Society and the Carteret Chorale. 

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the Stewart Family Cemetery in Broadway, NC. A celebration of life will be held at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 1605 Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC on Saturday November 16, 2024 at 11:00 am.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Piper Stewart of Newport; son, Frederick Stewart of Cedar Point; mother, Judith Stewart of Cedar Point; sister, Donna Fisher and husband, David of Swansboro.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Stewart.
