Donna Derolf

Donna Guthrie DeRolf was born July 10, 1942, and died peacefully july 26, 2026. She was raised in the Promise Land of Morehead City, NC. Donna graduated from Morehead City High School, Class of 1960.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Noe-Brooks Funeral Home chapel from 6-8pm.

Upon graduation, she began her working career with JM Davis Industries as a secretary. After numerous years there she moved to Sylvania, Georgia, where she spent many years with the State of Georgia Department of Corrections in the Probation Division. Upon retirement, she moved back to Carteret County near the Promise Land area to be closer to family and life-long friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents: James E. Guthrie Sr. (father), Lois Willis Guthrie Murphy (mother), and step-father, Joe B. Murphy; siblings, Jean Guthrie Austin (sister), James E. Guthrie Jr. (brother); and husband, Bill DeRolf of Sylvania, Georgia.

She is survived by her three nephews, Donald L. Austin and wife Nora of Newport, NC, Joey Austin and wife Debra of Norfolk, Virginia, and Michael Austin and wife Carol of Charlotte, NC. Along with numerous cousins, nieces and great nephews.
