Edgar "Eddie" Gillikin

Edgar “Eddie” Gillikin, 73, of Morehead City, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at home.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Many will remember Eddie driving for Carteret Cab Co. as his retirement job. He was a lover of all animals, but especially his kitty cats. In his younger days, he could be found golfing or surf fishing in his free time.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Alberta Yeager Gillikin, of the home; two daughters, Teresa Gillikin Duckett and husband, Carl Duckett, of Otway, and Jennifer Yeager and partner, Christopher White, of Atlantic Beach; and three grandchildren, Audrey, Amelia, and Bodie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Fitzpatrick Gillikin, and brother, George "Buddy" Calvin Gillikin Jr.
