Edwina "Happy" Ewbank

Edwina "Happy" Ewbank, 91, died peacefully in her sleep on June 20, 2025.

A memorial service will take place at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home (201 Professional Cir, Morehead City, NC) on August 23rd at 3pm in Morehead City, NC, to be followed by a reception at the Unitarian Coastal Fellowship (2900 Bridges St, Morehead City, NC) immediately thereafter.

The memorial service will be livestreamed. Interment of her cremains will be at the Chapel on the Hill in Oak Ridge, TN, at a later date.

Happy was born in Texas in 1934 and graduated high school in Duluth, MN. She went to college in Illinois, married in New Mexico, and started a family a few years later. She moved to Oak Ridge, TN, with her family after a brief stop near Washington, DC. She and her husband Bruce moved to Morehead City in 2002 to be closer to the ocean that they both loved. 

She is survived by her two sons, Bryan Ewbank of Raleigh NC, and Kevin Ewbank of Oglesby IL; their spouses, and by four grandchildren.
