Elizabeth "Lib" Shropshire

Elizabeth "Lib" Kepley Shropshire, 94, of Emerald Isle, NC, passed away on April 3, 2026, at her home in the presence of her daughters, Lori DeLozier and Erin Harrison.

Lib was born on August 21, 1931 in Lexington, NC. Lib was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and enjoyed telling the story of a volcano sprouting up behind her barracks while stationed in Hawaii.

Lib is survived by her two daughters, and a sister, Lois Murphy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Lizzie Kepley of Lexington, NC; two brothers, Olin Kepley, Don Kepley and a sister, Bessie Mae Garner.

Per Lib's wishes, there will be no memorial service, but everyone is encouraged to donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or a charity of their choice.
