Evelyn Kabadeh

Evelyn Carter Kabadeh, 72, of Morehead City, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City.

Evelyn worked as a jailer for the Carteret County Sheriff Department. 

The family will celebrate her life privately.

She is survived by her niece, Haleigh Jones of Morehead City; nephew, Quincy Jones of Morehead City; nephew, Henry Carter Elbay of Morehead City; and her 12 great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Janie Carter; two brothers, Josh and John Carter; and her sister, Annie Carter.
