Jasmyne Elean Tillery-Kite, 9, of Wilson, originally of Beaufort, was born on June 5, 2014, to Jerome Tillery and Megan Kite, she gained her wings on December 17, 2023, at UNC Medical Children's Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Glad Tidings Church in Morehead City. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Morehead City. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home of Morehead City. The service will be live streamed on Noe-Brooks Funeral Home website. In memory of Jasmyne the family ask that you wear one of her favorite colors which range from pink, purple, or sky blue.
Jasmyne was a sweet and loving girl who will be missed by all who knew her. Jasmyne attended school at Wells Elementary School in Wilson, NC. Jasmyne was a Jr. member of Girl Scout Troop 127, which she absolutely loved. She enjoyed basketball, volleyball, soccer, and gymnastics. She was an avid hunter and enjoyed going out in the woods with her dad and uncles. She even enjoyed cleaning the animals she hunted. Jasmyne was a talented artist who loved to create. Her joy for art showed through all of her creations shared with her friends and family. Jasmyne enjoyed spending time with her mom, dad, older sister, and baby brother. Family was very important to her. She loved everyone.
Jasmyne is survived by her father, Jerome Tillery, and mother, Megan Kite of Wilson; her big sister, Mckensey Tillery-Kite and baby brother, Drew Tillery-Kite; maternal grandfather, Jay Kite of Morehead City; paternal grandmother, Beth Tillery-Meadows of Morehead City; paternal great-grandmother, Vivian Meadows of Stella; first cousins, Amari and Manalei; aunts and uncles: Danielle, Rayshaun, Jordan, Anthony, Tessa and Caleb; great aunts and uncle: Betty, Bobbi, Donna, Debbie, Sandy, Vickie, Jeri, Valerie, Audra, Fredericka, and Ray; godparents, Jessica Curry, Trevor Wilson, and Relaine Reels; special aunt Dee; and many other special family members and friends.
She was received in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Kite; paternal grandfather, Rodney Meadows; Great-grandpa, Fred Tillery; and great-granddaddy, Jerome Jerry Meadows.
A special mention to all of her teachers and classmates, past and present, Girl Scout Troop 127, fellow hunting groups of Carteret County, and the staff at UNC Medical Children’s Hospital.
