Jessica Strama

Jessica Strama, 30, of Morehead City, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at home.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends and family from 3:00 to 6:00 at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Morehead City on Sunday following the service.

Jessica was a graduate from West Carteret High School, she then went to Carteret Community College to study business and became a Certified Massage Therapist. She loved spending time with her son Beau and she was a passionate hobbyist. She also enjoyed roller skating, drawing, and working on craft projects.

Jessica was an animal lover and loved her dog, Chico. She was very family-oriented and enjoyed the beach, spending time outdoors, listening to music, and playing video games. She will be remembered as a big kid at heart, a feisty passionate person, and an old soul.

She is survived by her son, Beau River Saunders; mother, Furayne Bailey; sister, Justina Strama; and nephew, Nate Strama; aunts, Carly Oxenreider (Patrick), Geneva Kolb (Chuck), Joann Shellhammer-Fox (Robert), Lisa Brown (Elmer), Terri Stallings; grandfather, John Robert Stallings; grandmother, Lillie Shellhammer; and stepfather, Mark Little

Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Todd Stallings; her nana, Barbara Stallings; grandfathers, Carl Jr. Bailey and Joseph Shellhammer; uncle, Tim Stallings.
