Lance Morton Searl

Obituary Lance Morton Searl, 54, who coped with multiple illnesses for many years, died peacefully Christmas day at Carteret Health Care, Morehead City. A memorial Service will be held at a later date. He was a graduate of Rose Hill High School in Greenville and East Carolina University where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Education. Lance dedicated his life to the care of the mentally ill, working as a manager of a HUD group home in Farmville, NC. He was an avid sports fan, who eagerly followed college and professional football and basketball. As a youth he participated on baseball and tennis teams. He is survived by his parents, James and Anne Searl of Morehead City, and his sister Laura Brandle of Angier. A gathering of friends will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
