Larry Carr

Larry Robert Carr Jr. passed away at the age of 51, on May 13, 2026.

Born on February 1, 1975, Larry was the son of Larry Robert Carr Sr. and Sheila Ann Carr.

Larry grew up in a military family traveling to many places throughout his childhood. Eventually, the family settled in Virginia, where he spent most of his life before moving to North Carolina five years ago.

After high school, Larry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for eight years. During his service, he obtained certifications in cybersecurity and later built a successful career as an analyst.

Larry was a loving father and son who will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of golf, and the joy he brought to those around him. Not a day went by without him practicing an imaginary golf swing wherever he stood. He enjoyed watching football, listening to a wide variety of music, and was never afraid to break out his dance moves with his children. He was known for leaving behind evidence of his late-night sweet treats and loved spending time at the grill making dinner for his family.

He is survived by his mother, Sheila; his younger brothers, Jeremy and Nicholas; his children, Brittany, Haleigh, Avery, and Austin; and his three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Larry Robert Carr Sr.

His family will gather to remember and celebrate his life on May 26, 2026.
