Lawrence "Larry" Guist

Lawrence “Larry” Guist, 72, Morehead City, passed away on Wednesday 18, 2026 at Cherry Point Bay Nursing Home in Havelock.

Larry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for six years, followed by 14 years in the reserves. He was known for his love of fishing and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and family. Larry had an easygoing nature and a warm personality that made him a friend to everyone he met.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Noe- Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City with a time of sharing and Military Honors at 3:00pm.

He was survived by his wife of 44 years, Vicki Guist of Morehead City; two daughters, Jenny Kennen and husband, Josh of Wilmington; Kerry Guist and husband, Corey Taylor of Beaufort; grandson, Jase Kennen; two granddaughters, Teagan and Stevie Taylor; sister, Terrie Lynch and husband, Kenneth of Georgia; two brothers, Michael Guist and wife, Joetta of Newport; Robert “Bert” Guist of New Bern; and his niece and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Guist.
