Marie Blanchard, 82, of Newport, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, N.C.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home Chapel.
Marie loved animals and being outdoors. She also enjoyed household chores and worked as a secretary.
She is survived by five nieces and three nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Randall Clyde and Rochelle Benson Blanchard; two sisters, Nona Lockhart and Barbara "Bobbie" Campbell; and two brothers, Wayne Blanchard and Leroy "Lee" Blanchard.
