Obituary Norman Boyce Cruse, 73, of Williston, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Vidant Hospital in Greenville. Boyce was born on January 4, 1947 in High Point, NC. He graduated from High Point High School, and was an alumnus of North Carolina State University. He joined the United States Army and was a Combat Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He returned to the U.S. and married the love of his life, Annette Whitley Cruse. He worked at Cape Lookout National Sea Shore for the National Park Service until he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents Frieda and Norman Cruse, grandparents, Ella Safrit (know to everyone as "Mom") and Archie Cruse, and Ruth and Fred Stone. He is survived by his wife Annette, his brother Steve Cruse and wife Edele, their children Brian and his wife Allison, Stephanie and her husband Ben Schmidt MD and their two children Max and Joe, brother in law Tom Whitley and wife Terry, their daughter Laura and her husband Forrest Waldon and their daughter Savannah. Services entrusted to Noe-Brooks Funeral Home, Morehead City. At this time there will be a graveside service for family only due to COVID-19 restrictions. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to The Bridge Downeast, Harkers Island, Loaves and Fishes, Beaufort, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 26, Havelock.
