Obituary Norman Lee Yates Sr. passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City. Norman served his country in the Coast Guard. Norman is survived by his six children, Norman Yates Jr., Jason Yates, Julie Fink, Sherry Forbes, Donovan Yates, and Angel Yates; two brothers, John and Edgar Yates; sister, Joann Burger; and eleven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mona and Clarendon Yates; and his wife, Judy Willis Yates.
