Pamela Huff Lewis, 78, of Beaufort, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in Pine Knoll Shores, N.C.

A private graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Oceanview Cemetery in Beaufort, with Pastor Patrick Whaley officiating.

Pamela was born in Long Beach, California and her family relocated to Beaufort, N.C. when she was thirteen. She graduated from Beaufort High School with the last graduating class from the school. She went on to obtain her Master’s of English Literature from North Carolina State University. Pamela was a lifelong teacher. Her last twenty years were spent teaching at West Carteret High School where she taught freshman and sophomore Honors English.

Pamela is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Lewis Glisson of Beaufort, and her granddaughter, Morgan Alexandra Glisson, as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton James Lewis; son, Christopher James Lewis; and parents, Joseph Earl Huff and Irene Doris Huff; father-in-law, Clinton Andrew Lewis, and mother-in-law, Mary Zane Quidley Lewis. She was also preceded in death by three half brothers, John Haywood Huff, Joseph Earl Huff Jr., Randolph Huff.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carteret County Humane Society.
