Rose Gaskill Buskirk

Rose Gaskill Buskirk, 84, of Beaufort, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport.

Rose was a charter member of New Hope Baptist Church in Beaufort. She was also very passionate about the Carteret Co. Jail Ministry that she founded.

 A funeral will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church in Beaufort with a burial to follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church.

She is survived by her daughter, Della Albury and husband, Eric Avery of Point Harbor, NC; step son, Vernie Buskirk; step son, Vick Buskirk; step daughter, Lavonne Davis; step son, Jim Buskirk; grandson, Matthew Lum; sister, Mae Brittingham of Beaufort; brother, Tommy Gaskill and wife, Connie of New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Betty Gaskill; husband, Graham Buskirk; and her three sons, Randall, Jimmy, and Billy; and nine siblings.
