Sandra Croom

Sandra B. Croom, 88, of Beaufort, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2025 at home with family by her side. 

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Ann St. United Methodist Church in Beaufort with Rev. Dena White and Rev. Dennis Goodwin officiating. The entombment will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Zebulon, NC. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Ann St. United Methodist Church Fellowship hall in Beaufort. 

Sandra was born on December 14, 1937 in Wake Co., NC to Lionel D. and Neila Joyner Bunn, and continued to live in that area through her childhood. Following her graduation from Wakelon High School in 1955 she attended East Carolina University where she received a degree in Elementary Education. She loved being in the mountains, especially Ashe County. She was an active member of Ann St. United Methodist Church for the past 34 years, and was also active with the United Methodist Women. 

She is survived by her son, David Allen Croom; daughter, Susan Goolishian (Gregory); three grandchildren, Chelsea, Cara and Connor Croom; sister, Suzanne Driver; and her brother, Lionel D. Bunn Jr.

 Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel D. Bunn Sr. and Neila Creel; and her granddaughter, Riley Goolishian.
