Scotty Dale Brace

Scotty Dale Brace, 68, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at his home in Newport, NC.

He was born on November 23, 1956 in Woodward, Oklahoma to the late Ovie Lila Hughes and Alden John Brace.

Scotty was a generous and kind hearted person who was always willing to give a helping hand whenever he could. He was a loving father and a caring friend.

He is survived by his sisters; Becky Brace, Kelli Brace, Cyndy Brace, and his children; Josh Brace, Caitlin Cunningham, Jennifer Sanders, Laura Scandizzo, and Jessica Reynolds.

He is also survived by his grandchildren; Brianna, Jude, Justice, Chloe, Brogan, Vivian, Ivey, and Zoey.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Brace and daughter, Joanna Lila Brace.

There will be a small remembrance held with the family to share memories on Saturday, May 17th from 2:00-4:00pm at 1808 Fisher Street, Morehead City, NC 28557.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to Hope Mission of Coastal Carolina (hopemissionnc.org).
