August 7, 1946 — January 3, 2022

Obituary Susan Mae Galbraith, 75, a beloved mother and grandmother, died Monday, January 3, 2022 at Carteret Health Care. Susan was born in Lock Haven, PA, the daughter of Richard and Ruth Bowers, and graduated from Lock Haven High School. She met the love of her life, Karl Stevenson Galbraith, at a high school dance when they were 15. Shortly after graduation they wed and were married for nearly 50 years before his death in 2014. Together they raised a family in Mill Hall, PA, and they moved to the beach in Morehead City, NC in 2013. For more than a decade she worked at CRAFTS in Lock Haven and enjoyed the adults she served. A caregiver at heart, Susan was always thinking about what she could do for her friends and family. She loved family gatherings, crafting, watching her favorite soap opera, visiting at the Senior Center and playing bingo. She especially adored spending time with her grandchildren. Susan was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her three children, David (Alice) Galbraith of Lexington Park, MD, Michael (Katie) Galbraith of Hillsborough, NC, and Kristi (Ray) Mroch of Morehead City, NC; a brother, Rich Bowers of Mill Hall, PA; and a sister, Bonnie Pfaff of Ft.
