Virginia "Ginny" Rill

Virginia "Ginny" Rill, 77, of Newport, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, N.C.

Private service will be held. 

Ginny was a loving Air Force wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid reader who loved cooking meals for family. She instilled morals and values into her children and grandchildren. She loved plants and animals. She loved cats so much she became a Persian cat breeder and she was also especially fond of her dogs, Jake, Bandit and Butch. 

Ginny is survived by her husband, Thomas Rill Sr. of Newport; her son, Tony Rill (Stephanie) of Newport; her daughter, Kim Williams of Erwin; grandchildren: Miranda, Corey, Maegan, Lance, and Alyssa; great grandchildren: Talon, Paisleigh, and Drew.

She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Rill Jr.; her grandson, Correy Martin; and a brother.
