Vista Jean Pittman, aged 59, passed away on November 27, 2024. Born on April 25, 1965, in Mendota, Illinois, Vista was the sixth of eight children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margerete and Stanley, and her sister, Debbie.
Vista is survived by her devoted husband, Jay Pittman, with whom she shared a beautiful love story that began while caring for his grandmother. Her legacy lives on through her children: daughters Amanda and Angela, sons Leon and Ellis, and stepdaughter Mariah. She also leaves behind her sisters Pam, Connie, Denise, and Cindy, brothers Stanley and Mike and half-sister Terri, and her beloved twelve grandchildren: Dezarai, Damien, Nataleigh, Jaykub, Brooklynn, Brenna, Blayken, Briella, Anthony, Aubrey, William, and Kolten.
Vista dedicated her life to serving others, starting with her family and extending to her work as a waitress and a CNA. In 2000, she earned her CNA license, allowing her to care for the elderly with compassion and dedication. Known for her free spirit, Vista was the life of any gathering, unafraid to speak her mind and celebrated for her vibrant personality. Her love for classic country music, played at full volume, and her infectious laughter left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Vista's unparalleled love for her grandchildren and her bright smile will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at the Crystal Coast Worship Center in Salter Path, NC, on December 13th at 11 a.m. All who wish to honor her memory are welcome to attend.
