Obituary
Barbara Dawson, 70, of Morehead City, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Carteret Health Care.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at St. Stephen's AME Zion Church in Morehead City.
She is survived by her children, Lanier Chapman (Toni), Isaac Chapman, sister, Patricia Davis, brother, Apostle A. Norris Smith, four grandchildren, Johnny Chapman, Logan Lajaunie, Caroline Marse, Kyra Harris, one great grandchild, Jaeonni Chapman, great niece, Dachante Jenkins, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and special friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, two sisters, and a nephew, Brownell Davis.
