Bessie Mae Huneycutt, 96, of Gloucester, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Crystal Bluff Rehabilitation Center of Morehead City.
Bessie was a longtime member of Free Grace Wesleyan Church, had a deep Christian faith and loved talking to everyone about God’s love. She was a woman of many talents, from crocheting to sewing, but gardening was her favorite pastime. Bessie loved growing and sharing her vegetables and continued to do so even after she moved into Crystal Bluffs. She was a homemaker who built a beautiful home for her family. Many considered Bessie the “family binder,” as she loved her family and keeping them close, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and loved making people smile. Bessie could make an entire room laugh with one of her stories. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, especially her family.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Free Grace Wesleyan Church with Pastor Clint Nelson Officiating. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Vergie Mae Cemetery. Due to Covid - 19, masks and social distancing will be required. The service will be live-streamed on the Noe-Brooks Facebook page for those who do not wish to attend in person https://fb.me/e/dQATOwJfT
