Obituary
Darrol Lee, 71, of Newport, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at his home.
Darrol worked for over 30 years at Trumbull Asphalt Company at the Morehead City State Port. He was an excellent carpenter and was known as easy going and friendly. Darrol loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home of Morehead City with Pastor Tim Marriner officiating.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lucy Lee of Newport; son, Richard Lee and wife, Becky of Newport; granddaughter, Samantha Lee of Summerville, SC; grandson, Brandon Lee of Newport; grandson, Cody Guthrie of Jacksonville; grandson, Austin Guthrie of Havelock; great granddaughter, Hailey Williams of Havelock; sister, Carol Lee of Havelock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wheeler and Geneva Lee; two brothers, Marvin and Robert Lee; sister, Grace Lee.
