Obituary

Mr. Mark Godette Sr. of Newport, NC, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at the age of 67.

Mark was born to parents Artis Lee Godette and Annie Aletha Anderson Godette on September 23, 1953, and he grew up as the youngest of eight. In 1974, He married Regina Mattox of Morehead City. Mark attended Carteret Community College and enrolled in the automotive program. He built a solid career in the automobile industry. 

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Pastor Fred Cannady-Kelderman, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home.   Due to the COVID-19 Masks and social distancing will be required.

He is survived by his wife, Regina Godette; son, Mark Godette Jr. and spouse, Rick Godette; daughter, Lakeshia Collins; six grandchildren, Chase Godette, Trae Godette, Devan Grissom, Mikayla Carter, Jordon and Maleah Collins; sister, Audrey Addo; and three brothers, Ronnie, Cass, and Gerald Godette; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Claudette Potter and Doris McFadden; and brother, Artist Godette.
