Star Vargas-Medina

Star Vargas-Medina, 16, of Newport, passed away after a short yet beautiful life on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at her home. 

A public viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm Saturday evening, at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home. 

Star was born on July 5, 2005, in Dunn, North Carolina to Julian Vargas Lopez & Analilia Medina. Star attended Croatan High School in Newport, North Carolina. Star’s nickname was “Tika” which was the name her parents and family called her by.  She was a lovely daughter, a loving sister and caring person inside and out. She enjoyed spending time with her siblings. Star loved her pets and loved caring for them. Star had a beautiful smile that would light up a room, with a beautiful soul. Star loved get-togethers with her friends and family. Star wanted to join the army after she finished school. Star will be dearly missed and the memories with her will be remembered in the hearts of those who loved and cared for her. So when you look up at night to see the Stars, know she is among them watching down on you.

Star is survived by her parents Julian Vargas Lopez & Analilia Medina, and her brothers Kevin Vargas-Medina, Erick Vargas-Medina & David Vargas-Medina.
